  • Construction of new car park with Walking and Information Shelter. The walking shelter is located at the foot of the Langdale Pikes and was constructed with river boulders gathered from within the National Park under the direction of the National Trust, natural slate stone seats, English oak roof timbers with pegged joints and natural stone slate roof (Burlington ‘Strongs’) with lime mortar parging reinforced with horse hair.
