  • Construction of Natural Stone buttresses to Grade 1 Listed retaining wall within the external grounds of the Judges Lodges Museum.  Excavation works were carried out carefully by hand in conjunction with Oxford Archaeology during which we discovered a medieval stone trough buried deep underground.  The trough was carefully exposed and lifted out by hand using specially designed temporary works incorporating a block and tackle arrangement due to the severely restricted access to the site.  The trough is now displayed on a natural stone cobble pavement area within the grounds of the museum.
